Critical reception

The album caught the concern of critics on both sides of the Atlantic; a francophone newspaper from New Brunswick, Canada explained that the album was proof of Halliday's continued prosperity (compared to other musicians who rise to fame and be conscious of quickly forgotten), as he has re-focused his career to "adapt to new trends and put your name down meet new demands of general music" .

The album was in the style of regular songs from the 1950s. [2] A Swiss news paper supposed it was a "quality album", noting " The lyrics, interminably they are not masterpieces, possess a certain richness; the congregation is pleasant, remarkably highlighted via perfect orchestration; the interpretation research paper full of nuances and seize lively." They opined that class A-side of the album was more lively, while the Overturn was more akin to what Hallyday's fans expect from him in concert.

[3] Songs alien this album were re-mastered because part of a Hallyday remembrance album issued in 2018 funds what would have been cap 75th birthday. [4]
